After an unprecedented run of weather-related postponements, the second session of the East District U14 League eventually got underway (just) at Meggetland on Sunday. The Lions very quickly picked up from where they left off at the end of last session, with two very convincing wins against Watsonians B and Carnegie B. In the first game against Watsonians, two well-taken goals from Eilidh together with goals from Lucy R and Stuart H gave us a well-deserved 4-0 victory. They saved their best hockey however for the game against Carnegie B, where, particularly in the second half, they put on a real exhibition of attractive attacking hockey. Lucy R grabbed another two goals, Jamie Young also scored two (I know - unbelievable!!), with the others coming from Adam and Stuart. An excellent all round performance from the whole squad, especially after such a long lay off!!
