Under Sixteen hockey for all boys and girls!
For some of the lowest fees in Scottish Hockey, we offer hockey to any child, whatever their ability or background. Our Under Sixteen programme involves weekly sessions across the year and aims to inspire participation in a team sport for life.

Key details
Training Methods: Focus is put on learning through situations that are as game-like possible.
Game Play: Players will work on winning the ball back, attacking situations and developing match tactics.
Technical Skills: Players will work on moving with the ball, receiving the ball, evading defenders and passing.
Physical Skills: Players will work on basic agility and co-ordination,
Soft Skills: Players will work on the traits of being self-organised and self-aware. We also encourage all players to consider the behaviours of listening to and speaking to everyone.
A theme for all content is ‘our way’ of playing hockey, where the focus is on being attack minded.

Contact our youth membership secretary to register your interest for under 16s hockey at Inverleith.
Matches: Participation for all. We do our best to ensure every player receives equal invites to match days. At this age league matches are 11 a-side on a full pitch. Our teams are seeded and for the top teams, we select based on players performance but we try to balance this so that they are playing with their friends. Go to fixtures & results.
Training: Every training session open to all.
For U12, U10 and U8, players are grouped according to their school year.
For U14, U16 & U18, players are grouped according to their school year for training. For matches organised by Scottish Hockey or East District they are grouped according to their age as at 1 January.
